Motivate Me to Be Successful

"To think about your life is to create it. You have to take ownership of where you are right now and know where you want to go before you can get there. Keep collecting evidence for your success. You can believe it, and you can be it."

Tapping into the immortal you

So what's stopping you from living the perfect life - exactly?

There have been countless times I know when you did live the perfect life. When everything fell into place. You were happy where your were, doing what you were doing. I'd even go as far as to say you were happy in your own skin. If that's not living the perfect life then I really don't know what is. So what's stopping you from living that kind of life - all the time? Have you looked in a mirror recently?

We can be our own worst enemies. We might want to blame things outside of our control, but ultimately we have a choice. Let those outside things affect the way we want to live or just accept that some things just are.

And before you start the "it's alright for you" crap. I've had possibly some of the worst days of my life during the last 18 months - I've had some pretty good ones too. But if I'm honest most everything was an uphill battle - but I am still here, living my life as perfectly as I can. It may only be moments in time, but I know that if I can tag enough of those moments together - soon enough the perfect will out balance the rubbish.

But before we move on - let me just say one more thing about the negative. If you don't have the monotony of certain aspects of your daily life - how will you know the good points? And that's what I want to focus on today.

Do you remember that moment in time when everything was just perfect?

What were you doing? What could you see / smell / touch / hear? Did the day have a particular taste - what did it taste like? What were you wearing? What's the weather like? Are you inside or out? Are you sitting, standing, laughing, dancing or running a marathon?

It could be anything. it's just that perfect moment in a series of perfect moments that you can still recall vividly.

Of course if you are really lucky you'll have more than one to choose from, and if that's the case - go with the bigger, brighter memory!

The key then of course is to find a way to be like that all the time. How do you do that? Simple things:

Do the best job you can do today - it may not be the job that you want, but that doesn't matter - it doesn't mean you can't be the best - parent / teacher / dog walker / window washer / clerk / leader today.

Dress the best you can today. Speak positively.

Smile :-)

We won't get it 100% right all the time, but the more you can live in the moment - the more perfect moments you will have.
